10 Cool Sharks That You Did Not Know Exist

Tags: shark
By Shark, we all remember the demonic attacker from the blue ocean in the Spielberg's movie. For most people, the great white shark is the roll model of a shark. But all sharks do not look just like that. There are more than 500 species of sharks recorded so far. It is possible that some more new species could be discovered soon from the depths of the oceans.

Here we are going to show you some of the cool shark species that are unknown to most people. Yes, if you are a nature lover or a shark fan or a geek you may know most of them. But I still hope to surprise you all with this collection.

Caribbean Rough Shark

Caribbean rough shark is a deep sea dweller. They live in the deepest parts of the Caribbean sea. The shark spends most of its time resting on the cold, dark and high pressured surface at an average depth of 1300 to 1500 ft. Due to its difficult to reach habitation, very little is known about it. Te shark does not look much like a shark, is not it. At 50 inches, it is rather small in size.

Now here is a shark that is named after a cat and a leopard. It is a cat shark because of having a barbel. Look at the photo and see what is most striking about thing about the shark. Yes, you are right! It has leopard like patterns over the body. That spots has given the fish a bad ass look. The shark is way too small to be dangerous (30 to 33 in max). To encounter with such a shark you need to go to South Africa. It lives in the kelp forests and rocky reefs.
