It's inspired by Estonian and Swedish actual farms and a particular Village in a national park, which gets flooded every year.
During my research I found a film about the Swedish Faböd forest culture, which was super inspiring! In this culture, they live in remote farms in the forest and have a close relationship to nature. They invented a way of shouting/singing to communicate in the dense forest and have several recipes that use the bark of trees! Can really recommend watching the film :)
