Yes, Pawz do look like balloons! Looks can be deceiving! These are the only dog boots we've found that stay on and do the job of protecting dog paws from road salt, ice, and snow.
Added advantage: dogs adjust to them easily if you introduce Pawz right! Put one bootie on one back foot and play with your dog for a few minutes. Then try one on the opposite front foot. Your dog will be distracted playing with you and forget there's that funny thing on his foot!
Some people choose to add a baby or child's sock underneath for added warmth, but it generally isn't necessary. Dogs don't seem to mind the cold as long as their feet are dry.
