Turmeric trading range for the day is 6982-7230. Turmeric prices gained as there is an anticipation of improved physical demand for new season crop. Currently supplies from the new season turmeric have been at par during Jan at 7,836 tonnes compared to 7,897 tonnes last year. The traders those who are having few upcountry demand and local demand have started buying the new turmeric by quoting increased price. In Nizamabad, a major spot market in AP, the price ended at 7341.65 Rupees dropped -33.35 Rupees.
