Menthaoil trading range for the day is 1018.7-1063.7. Mentha Oil spot at Sambhal closed at 1130.20 per 1kg. Spot prices is up by Rs.25.40/-. Mentha oil gained on the back of strong demand in the spot markets amid hopes of export demand may pick up in the coming days. Besides, tight stocks position following restricted arrivals from major producing belts of Chandausi also provided support to prices. Trade sources estimate that total area under Mentha planting has dropped by 20% to 1.75 lakh ha this season.
