As uncertainty abounds while Corona Virus makes its’ way through the United States population, everything is rapidly changing. Businesses are being told to shut their doors for weeks and months, schools are closing for the year, colleges are cancelling graduations, and people are being told to stay away from groups of more than 10 people all while keeping a “social distance” of six feet. My how the world has turned upside down and inside out. In these times of great uncertainty businesses and non-profits have found themselves with events to hold without a venue to hold them or a competition without judges.
One way to keep control of our personal situations is to keep things as normal as possible. Bux-Mont Awards has been directly impacted by these events, and will struggle to adapt, like most businesses and industries. As Dan Bencsik, President of Bux-Mont Awards puts it, “what we have been finding with our customers is one of two things. Either people are putting off their event until fall or, when possible, they are moving their event online, and when they are moving their event online, they are saying to us ‘hey, we still want to give out the awards to recognize the achievements’. Bux-Mont Awards is offering to ship customers awards right to the recipients for use in their virtual awards ceremonies as one way to help keep a sense of normalcy.
“Awards and Recognition is and always has been all about community. When you recognize someone for the work they are doing, it’s like saying thank you for what you are doing for our community and the service you are providing to make our community stronger.” Recognition is something that has been here forever, and it will be here long after this Corona Virus gets solved. We want to make sure that the efforts, the humanity that gets us through these trying times is recognized in a way that shows the world community can come together and make this world a better place. Together we can, and together we will.
