It’s less than a month until this year’s ‘UK Wool Week 2016’ when retailers across the UK from leading fashion, interior and craft brands will join forces to highlight and educate consumers on the natural benefits of wool.

Celebrations
Bradford-based Standard Wool is one of the largest buyers of UK wool in the country and is fully behind The Campaign for Wool’s Wool Week – and to join in the fun the company will tweet a woolly fact every day between the 10th and 17th October!
The seven day event will give the British public the opportunity to participate in a number of exciting activities/celebrations, which are taking place across the country.
World of Wool
Arguably the most innovative and interesting of those celebrations is the opening of a Wool BnB in London, the first of its kind! Guests will be treated to a world of wool with the BnB’s interiors made completely from wool.
From a cosy sitting room decorated with wool products to a bedroom fully equipped with luxury wool filled mattresses, pillows, duvets, blankets and nightwear, which will showcase the benefits of wool in aiding a good night’s sleep.
The ‘Wool BnB: Living with Wool’ (pictured above) will officially launch ‘Wool Week’ at the start of October and will initially be used to allow members of the media and consumers to take part in workshop evenings, interactive talks, film screenings and styling sessions.
Following the conclusion of Wool Week, overnight stays will be available to lucky consumers who will be offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience living in a world of wool!
High street
Aside from the BnB, the seventh year of Wool Week will see high street retailers and brand unite to support ‘all things wool’ through their Autumn collections, stores and online.
Retailers during the week will use the late night opening on Thursday 13th October for ‘Wool Night Out’, which will engage and encourage consumers to think wool, shop wool and wear wool.
