New Years Eve in the Twin Cities is an exciting time. There are plenty of ways to enjoy yourself on one of the biggest days of the year (even if it is the last day) no matter what kind of person you are. In fact, there are so many things to do it can almost be overwhelming to decide on just one. To help you narrow down how to spend your day we’ve put together a list of the best News Year Eve events in the Twin Cities.Whether you’re high powered partying machine or the more relaxed type there is something for you on this list. So, let’s get to it!

1. Studio 54: NYE 2016 – For those looking to rock out this New Years Eve, look no further than Studio 54’s NYE 2016 party. Paying homage to the legendary Studio 54 night club of New York City, this event takes place at the newly renovated Hyatt Regency Hotel. With the focus being on opulent, high production value entertainment, guests will be treated to three rooms of music playing disco, dance, funk, top 40, old school, house, and soul. Additionally, 6 DJ’s are currently scheduled with more on the way.  If you’re looking to dance the night away and feel like a celebrity this is the place to be.

2. New Year’s Worldly Bubbles –  For the more relaxed individual with a taste for fine food and drink, try heading to Gyst Fermentation Bar. GYST is a contemporary restaurant that serves small bites, cheese plates, charcuterie, sandwiches, and alcoholic beverages. They also dabble in fermenting foods to achieve unique tastes not found anywhere else.  For around $50 you gain entry to this fantastic party, as well as access to exotic champagnes served every half-hour beginning at 9:30 PM. GYST will also make a special New Years Eve plate prepared by the chefs available for purchase. If you’re looking to relax and have your senses indulged with a little bit of mingling then you’ll have a blast at GYST.

3. Noon Year’s Party – Parents everywhere should be thrilled to know that Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is hosting a family friendly New Years party. The event culminates at noon instead of midnight with beach balls dropped from the ceiling. Leading up to the drop is a smorgasbord of kid friendly entertainment including an interactive DJ service, craft making, animal enrichment giveaways, and fabulous prizes. The end result is a thrilling day for your children. They might be so thrilled, in fact, that they decide to have mercy on their parents and fall asleep early!

Honorable Mention: There are literally too many events on New Years Eve to count. However, a few other great events caught our eye. Try checking out GLAM at the Muse Event Center, New Year’s Eve Bash at Edinborough Park, or enjoy the Tim Sigler Band at the Eagle Street Grille.

No matter what you decide to do, here’s to a happy New Years in the Twin Cities!
