Few Tips To Make Sure You Have A Perfect Brochure

The best form of marketing is the one that catches the eye of the audience, keeps them engaged till you get your point across, and makes them take action on it. This is why a well-designed Brochure is an evergreen mode of marketing material as it is visually enticing and has loads of informative content in it which can be revisited several times.
University recruiters have, for long, used brochures as the knowledge gap filling tool and they see it as an affordable mode of communication. However, as a recruiter, one has to be wary about the badly designed brochures which can have an opposite impact on the target audience.
Following are a few of the errors that you need to avoid creating a flaw-free brochure:

Excessive Information
Avoid the tendency to overcrowd the brochure with more information than that is needed. A proper packaging of content will include only important facts about your university and the benefits a student is set to gain from joining it. Direct the reader to your website or a landing page for them to explore more about the university.

Using Bad Quality of Images
The first impression that a brochure creates on the audience is through photographs. Trust a designer who doesn’t compromise on good quality photographs. Out-of-focus images or low-resolution stock images will create a bad impression on the reader. Secondly, a university hoping to attract students from different diasporas need to showcase the diversity they are home to. Hence, instead of using stock images, it is recommended that you use images from your campus highlighting the diversity in the campus.

Playing with Multiple Fonts
Typography is a fun element to enliven the brochure. However, too many font types can create visual clutter quickly. Use different fonts to differentiate headlines, call to actions, and body content. Use different font styles, such as italics, bold, underline, to highlight important points of text.

Poor Text Alignment
Alignment is vitally important in Print graphic design because it allows you to arrange elements in a way that matches how people naturally scan the page, helps balance your image so that it’s visually appealing and creates a visual connection between related elements.

Printing before Poor Paper and Print Quality Proofreading
A spelling error can have a catastrophic effect on your marketing efforts. All your design elements and efforts to put together a brochure can go in vain if there are errors in spellings. Make sure you thoroughly check the spelling and grammar of your brochure before sending it to print.

Poor Paper and Print Quality
It is recommended that you do not use substandard paper and ink to print your brochure. Display your design on a high quality card stock in order to ensure a polished final product. Many print companies use ISO printing services, FSC certification and strong qualitative analysis to make sure that all the printing is competitive internationally.
