Vanessa Amend Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Crash on Texas Highway 183 at Texas Highway360 in Fort Worth

Fort Worth, TX. (December 14, 2022)- 27-year-old Vanessa Jane Amend was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash on December 4, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.  The accident occurred just before 3:30 a.m. on Texas 183 at the Texas 360 on-ramp.  Police reported that Amend had exited her disabled vehicle when she was struck by an unknown westbound Ford Mustang.  Amend was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the Ford fled the scene of the crash.  No further details have been provided at this time.  The crash remains under investigation.
