Dallas, TX (September 19, 2019) – At approximately 10:30 a.m. on September 18, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle Accident on State Highway 354 Loop (Harry Hines Blvd).
According to reports, an officer was traveling north along Harry Hines Blvd when they attempted to make a turn onto Willowbrook Rd. As the officer turned, they were struck by another vehicle, which ran the red light at the intersection.
The officer was injured in the collision and transported to Parkland Medical Center for treatment.
The driver, as well as one passenger, in the second vehicle, were arrested at the scene. The driver was charged with DWI.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
