Nacogdoches, TX (March 29, 2019) – Just after 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, Lufkin Police Department responded to the scene of a pedestrian Accident.
The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Family Dollar store located on Highway 69 South. According to police, a vehicle struck a woman and dragged her several feet across the parking lot. The woman suffered serious injuries in the incident and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck fled from the scene, leading police on a high-speed chase which ended in a crash. The driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was life-flighted from the scene of the crash.
