CyrusOne, a leading global data center developer and operator, today announced two key hires in the Spanish region, to help bolster its growing presence in the country and across the European continent.
Amparo García Puente is also joining the team as Data Centre Development Manager to lead design, construction, project management and commissioning of new developments. Initially she will focus largely on CyrusOne’s first entry into the Spanish market, Madrid I, but ultimately support CyrusOne’s continued growth across the country.

Both new hires have held previous roles at the real estate advisor JLL, Turner & Townsend, Equals Consulting and CAP DC ESPAÑA, and are starting their tenure at CyrusOne this October. They join ahead of the official ground breaking ceremony of Madrid I, CyrusOne’s first facility in the Spanish market, which is set to occur later this month. The brand-new state-of-the-art data centre will form a two-story building with 18 MW of total IT load over 6,000 sqm of technical space. The facility will achieve BREEAM accreditation of ‘Very Good’, utilize 100% renewable energy, and generate 100 kW onsite through roof-mounted solar PV panels.
