As kids settle into the new school year and the holiday season is around the corner, Cyrusone is happy to continue its support for Community Partners of Dallas (CPD) and the great work it does for Dallas County’s abused and neglected children.

CyrusOne has supported (CPD) since 2017. Launched in 1989, Community Partners of Dallas aims to support the work of Child Protective Services (CPS) in Dallas County. Its mission is to provide abused and neglected children what they need urgently today so they can thrive tomorrow. Every year, it helps meet the overall needs of 15,000 abused and neglected children.

CyrusOne recently participated once again in the CPD Back-to-School Drive. On Aug. 29, 2022, CyrusOne colleagues and executives under our CAREE Group volunteered for four-hour shifts to pack and unpack schools supplies and backpacks for about 200 children in grades K-12 who CPD supports and who attend schools within the Dallas Independent School District. In 2021, CPD distributed uniforms, backpacks and school supplies to 1,978 children while encouraging and equipping CPS caseworkers in the Dallas area. Our annual participation in the CPD Back-to-School Drive has its genesis in a former executive who was also deeply involved in the organization.

CyrusOne will also participate in CPD’s annual Holiday Toy Drive, where it will team up to assist CPD in granting wishes to children in need. Colleagues will buy toys for the children directly or through wish lists. The drive aims to restore a child’s hope by giving them gifts they specifically asked for. In 2021, CPD gave two or more gifts each to 4,451 children.

Throughout the year, CyrusOne employees personally donate to CPD’s Rainbow Room, a resource center that offers only brand new clothing, shoes, hygiene items, books, toys, school supplies. Local caseworkers can order online or “shop” in-person at the Rainbow Room to get these supplies for the children they take care of, and the children gain a sense of security, ownership and esteem form having new possessions all their own. In 2021, 9,787 children received supplies from Rainbow Room.

And our annual fund drives for CPD help it continue its valuable work helping disadvantaged children get a leg up in the community. On average, CyrusOne and its employees donate more than $10,00 a year to CPD. We believe when we help someone when they’re young, they will be that much more productive as adults.

Every year, CyrusOne is delighted to support the tremendous work of CPD and happy to volunteer on the back-to-school backpack program. We see and understand the unthinkable challenges faced by the thousands of abused and neglected children in Dallas and honor the child protective services case workers who help them.

“For me personally, I was still an intern when we first started helping and giving back to Community Partners of Dallas,” said Nadia Jones, CyrusOne marketing coordinator. “So, to see how far we’ve come from just donating money to actually showing up and being a real physical presence at its facilities, it just speaks to the growth of our philanthropic efforts and where we can go in the future collaborating by donating both money and time.”

Every year, CyrusOne and its employees support a variety of charities and organizations across the country, including partnerships, fundraising and food drives with North Texas Food Bank and Houston Food Bank. CyrusOne is also involved with the Knowledge is Power Program, Carry The Load, Girl Scouts of the USA, Midtown Educational Foundation, Light The Night Cincinnati, Girlstart – STEM Education, Katy Trail 5K, March of Dimes, Big Brothers Big Sisters Community Partners of Dallas, Cotes de Coeur (American Heart Association) and Relay For Life.

We also participate in several golf tournaments that raise money for a variety of worthwhile charities:

• Council Bluffs – Spirit of Courage Cancer Center Charitable Patient Care Fund Golf Tournament, which assists uninsured and underinsured patients who need help covering expenses associated with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer
• Conoco Phillips Golf Tournament supporting the Bartlesville Regional United Way
• Salesforce Charity Golf Tournament supporting Lymphoma and Leukemia Society
• Northern Virginia Community College Golf Scramble fundraiser supporting local high school rising stars and NVCC freshman

Giving back to our communities where we do business is part of our DNA. We believe being great community citizens leads to great leadership and great relationships with our employees and customers.
