CyrusOne and four of its executives teed off for a good cause in Council Bluffs, Iowa, home of our data center in the “Silicone Prairie.”
On Aug. 6, the CyrusOne foursome of Global Account Director Jeff Harrison, Account Director Chris Sponseller, Strategic Account Manager Maria Camacho and Global Marketing Director Laurene Richards played in the Jennie Edmundson Foundation’s 20th annual Spirit of Courage Golf Tournament at Dodge Riverside Golf Club and attended the Spirit of Courage Gala later that evening.
“Each year our Spirit of Courage event brings in more than $125,000 for our cancer center Charitable Patient Care Fund which assists uninsured and underinsured patients who need help covering expenses associated with cancer diagnosis and treatment,” said Tara Slevin, Jennie Edmundson Foundation chief philanthropy officer. “This is possible thanks to business and community partners like CyrusOne. We appreciate the team for sharing resources, time and enthusiasm to help raise needed funds and support for some of our most vulnerable patients. The Jennie Edmundson Foundation builds a bridge between its community and the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital to enhance the resources that support hospital in meeting the community’s healthcare needs. The hospital provides, on average, nearly $10 million of care for the uninsured and underinsured each year. It also offers outreach programs throughout Southwest Iowa to ensure quality healthcare is available to everyone who needs it.
