Politics and the entertainment industry don't go well together, because they serve different purposes.
Mia Khalifa is no stranger for becoming the center of attention. After all, she was a porn star, who became the most popular star on Pornhub two months after debuting. Even though she was in the adult industry for only a year, she remains as one of the most popular performers ever.
Mia is considered among the few adult performers whose popularity outlived her porn career because of the internet.
The Lebanese-American media personality knows this very well, and has been using this fame to help her transition to other endeavors, including her advocacy work.
And during Hamas' surprise attack on Israel, Mia made a remark that plummeted much of her career she built throughout the years after her retirement from the adult industry.
And she doesn't care.
On 7 October, the Palestinian militant group Hamas launched its largest-ever attack on the land of Israel, and in just a few days, hundreds of people have been killed.
Mia, who has also became a content creator for Playboy's digital platform, showed her extreme support for the Palestinian people.
In a hate speech, Mia even urged "freedom fighters in Palestine to flip their phones and film horizontal," so she could literally enjoy viewing the massacre.
While she later clarified that this comment was not an endorsement of violence, and that she intended to highlight the need for Palestinian freedom, she didn't show much remorse about showing her hate towards the Israelis.
"I just want to make it clear that this statement in no way shape or form is enticing [the] spread of violence, I specifically said freedom fighters because that’s what the Palestinian citizens are… fighting for freedom every day," Mia said.
"f you can look at the situation in Palestine and not be on the side of Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid and history will show that in time," she said.
Her remarks don't go well with her employers at Playboy.

Following Mia's statement of X, the platform previously known as Twitter, Playboy announced that the company had severed ties with Mia, saying that they're "disgusting and reprehensible."
"Mia has made disgusting and reprehensible comments celebrating Hamas’ attacks on Israel and the murder of innocent men, women, and children."
"At Playboy, we encourage free expression and constructive political debate, but we have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech. We expect Mia to understand her words and actions have consequences."

I just wanna make sure there’s 4k footage of my people breaking down the walls of the open air prison they’ve been forced out of their homes and into so we have good options for the history books that write about how how they freed themselves from apartheid. Please worry about… https://t.co/sgx8kzAHnL

I’d say supporting Palestine has lost me business opportunities, but I’m more angry at myself for not checking whether or not I was entering into business with Zionists. My bad. https://t.co/sgx8kzAHnL

Soon after this, Mia Khalifa's creator profile leads to an error page.
And not just from Playboy, because the 1993-born bombshell also faced admonishment from the owner of an Amsterdam-based drug product company. In a tweet, Josh Shapiro said that Mia should "consider [herself] fired," in a respond to her post that asked for horizontal videos from Palestine.
"I’d say supporting Palestine has lost me business opportunities, but I’m more angry at myself for not checking whether or not I was entering into business with Zionists," she retorted. "My bad."
The woman, who first entered the adult industry at the age of 21, before retiring a year later, followed up her posts by claiming that it was the only press she’d give the company.
"It’s FREE PALESTINE until Palestine is FREE," she said.

That’s the most press you’ll ever get out of me for your shitty little company you quite literally couldn’t pay me to post about it publicly before because I thought it was so bad it’s FREE PALESTINE until Palestine is FREE

Soon after Hamas's first launched its operation, Khalifa has since posted prolifically on social media.
But it's worth noting that Mia is just one out the many people who support Palestine, who wages her own war against those who support the many people who support Israel.
On October 7th, the Hamas militants launched a devastating attacks to Israel through barrage of rockets, and assaults on land, sea and air. Besides the massacre on civilians, the Hamas also took a number of hostages, and continue to fire rockets to Israel.
In respond, Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu said that "war" is happening, and that whatever the Hamas did cannot be tolerated.
The Israel launched an intensive bombing campaign on the densely-populated territory in Gaza, among others.
While Israel claims its bombing campaign only targets militant sites of interest, but officials in Gaza said that the overwhelming majority of Palestinians killed have been civilians, and that the strikes were mostly indiscriminate.
