Things were peaceful, until something out of the ordinary was uncovered.

It all began when the South Florida Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip of an alleged child pornography discovered on the account of an online subscriber of a massaging app. The task force was told on January 2022, that the account had over 100 images of child pornography.

This was when the Police scrambled, and pinpointed it to Daniel Durocher.

The search warrant revealed that there were more than 100 photos and videos of children engaging in various sexual acts, along with self-produced video of a man performing a sex act to them.

Investigators used another search warrant to enter the Hollywood home belonging to Durocher before taking him into custody.

The police knew that they got the man they were looking for, because they found the alleged images and videos saved inside an iPhone 6 stored near the man's bed.

Daniel Durocher had just graduated high school, and had just celebrated his 19th birthday a few weeks earlier.

After his house in the 1400 block of North 46th Avenue was raided by the police, and Durocher was taken into custody, Durocher admitted to police that the photos and videos were indeed his possession.

Durocher also admitted to have masturbated to the pictures and videos.

"While he’s only charged with 6 counts, your honor, the report states that law enforcement, in fact, found 125 images," said prosecutor Eric Linder.

Hollywood police said that the children in those photos and videos appear to be toddler-aged, while some are between 4 and 6 years old and others between 11 and 14.

"These were very disturbing images and videos," said Hollywood Police Officer Christian Lata.

Durocher has then been charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography and compiling child pornography onto a computer.

Durocher was arrested in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Near the house where he lives, there is a school, and also a house of worship.

"We were able to take a predator off our streets, someone who would prey on our most innocent population which are children," explained officer Lata.

Durocher’s bond was set at $45,000.

He shall be placed on an electronic monitoring system if he posts bond.

And when he is released, Durocher can not have access to the internet and cannot be around minors.
