Sally's Fashion Industry Challenge

Who says industrial products can't be fun?

Local artist and friend, Sally Adams is a well-known across Norfolk for her work as an artist and creator of Fashion. Particularly notable of late is her work with Norwich Fashion week where she not only designed, but also modelled her work. Nicknamed ‘The Duckorator’ she recently created 18 giant rubber duck characters as part of Break Charity’s Grand Norwich Duck Race.

Sally is the 2016 winner of Norwich Fashion Jam’s ‘Most creative use of raw materials’ award and so we thought it would be fun to set her a challenge of creating a garment out of some of our Industrial Products. Some may say products for industry are perhaps a tad dull? So, we’ve supplied Sally with a selection of our popular items with her aim being to prove industrial equipment is in fact, great! Here is a list of what she has to work with;

1. Disposable Mediwrap comfort blanket
2. Emergency foil blankets
3. Orve+wrap high-vis padded emergency blanket
4. 2 metres of plastic rope chain
5. 1 metre of fine fluted rubber matting
6. 8 x 75mm x 100mm warning signs
7. 1 roll of hazard warning tape

With just one week to work on her design, Sally’s creation will be revealed on our stand, number 60 on Anniversary Avenue at the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce B2B Exhibition at Norwich City Football Club, 13th October 2016. Do pop along and let us know what you think.

Can’t wait to see the finished product!
