The Chub Mackerel Fish is a mackerel which is also known as Pacific mackerel, Pacific chub mackerel, Strummu ucchiutu, Varatulu scrummu or Occhiutu. It closely resembles the Atlantic chub mackerel. It is a very old fish species, and fossils of these fish have been found in the Pliocene of Italy from 3 to 2.2 million years ago.
