Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Michigan

When another driver’s negligence causes an accident, even the most cautious motorist is at risk, and any victim can suffer serious injuries despite the apparent severity of a crash.

The unfortunate fact is that millions of individuals sustain injuries in car accidents every year throughout the country, and Michigan is no exception. The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning states that there are more than three million registered vehicles in Southeast Michigan. Accidents involving motor vehicles occur somewhere in the state every two minutes. In Michigan, there have been around 980 fatalities and 76,000 injuries in the last several years.

Several causes may contribute to car accidents, such as driving while intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics, driving carelessly, and breaking any one of the many traffic laws. Obtaining a competent lawyer who will defend your rights in court is essential, regardless of who caused the car accident.

An excessive number of drivers mistakenly believe they do not need legal counsel after an accident. Speaking with a lawyer about your case might help you get the money you’re due and protect your legal rights if you were in an automobile accident. You may get help navigating the legal system for a personal injury claim and dealing with the insurance company’s efforts to deny you compensation for your injuries from a lawyer specializing in car accidents.

After being in an accident, there are several things you should do as quickly as possible, but one of the most important is to consult with an attorney whose practice focuses on car accident cases. Gather as much information as you can on the accident itself in the early stages. In Michigan, you should contact your insurance company and the local authorities as soon as possible after being involved in a car accident. Only then should you hire a lawyer to help you recover the money you are entitled to.
