Detroit, MI (August 23, 2023) – The Michigan Department of Transportation and Macomb County scanner reported that two vehicles were involved in a rollover collision at 23 Mile Road and North Avenue on Wednesday, August 23.

Emergency medical technicians, Detroit police officers, and Michigan State Police troopers all arrived at the scene at about 6:30 p.m. Authorities closed all lanes as the police reviewed the site of the wreck. Paramedics were also dispatched to the Accident site to evaluate the victims and treat any injuries, although it is yet unknown how many people were involved in the wreck.

Any potential eyewitnesses were requested to contact the authorities. Authorities from the DPD and MSP are now handling the investigation into the collision.

The injured victims and their loved ones are in our thoughts at this time.

Motor Vehicle Wrecks in Detroit

In recent years, the incidence of severe car accidents has increased throughout the country, including here in Michigan. The number of traffic incidents that result in injuries continues to rise every year, despite efforts to reduce risky driving behaviors, including speeding, irresponsibility, and driver inattention.

However, if the motorist was reckless or negligent, you may seek legal action to recover damages for your injuries and other losses. In addition to their continued physical anguish, victims of traffic accidents also face significant financial difficulties. Even in low-velocity or seemingly small collisions, it is fairly rare for people to have injuries such as brain injuries, burns, spinal cord injuries, bone fractures, internal bleeding, and so on. Victims of accidents who suffer injuries or the loss of a loved one through no fault of their own may have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and long-term disabilities.

Recovering damages after a car accident that was obviously the other driver’s responsibility may be stressful enough as it is without having to deal with the complexities of Michigan’s personal injury statute. Also, when victims attempt to negotiate with insurance companies on their own, adjusters will use any and all means at their disposal to prevent them from paying the full and fair compensation to which they are due.

After an accident, your prospects of receiving just compensation improve if you retain the services of an experienced attorney. If you find a lawyer who works on a contingency fee basis, you won’t have to worry about paying anything in advance. That is to say, you won’t have to worry about paying your lawyer until either your case is resolved or you win in court. As a consequence, you won’t have to worry about paying your lawyer (often 30–40% of your total judgment) until after you get compensation.
