Discover Beazer: Searching for a Family Friendly Neighborhood in Maryland

Bryan and Teejah Fitchette visited their Beazer community a record four times before deciding on a home in The Preserve at Windlass Run. With small twin boys and a new baby, they were focused on finding a family friendly community within a good school district, and a space that would accommodate their growing family. Read on to discover their Beazer Homes story, below:

As told by Teejah

Prior to moving to The Preseve at Windlass Run,  Bryan and I lived with my mom in Rosedale, which is about 15 minutes away from our new community. We were living with family because we needed assistance with our twin boys. We also recently welcomed another little boy and needed a little more room.

Bryan and I received a Beazer brochure in the mail and decided to check it out. When we drove through the neighborhood, we both sort of knew this was the right one. We checked out a lot of other places, but every time we ended up driving back here to Windlass. I think if you keep coming back to something, after three or four times, you know it’s what you want.

What drew us to this neighborhood is the family friendly feel. There are walking trails, pools, great schools in close proximity, and the convenience of the White Marsh shopping area close by.

After we both agreed that Windlass was the right community, the homebuying process was pretty straight forward. We met with Jyssica, our New Home Counselor. She walked us through everything step by step and gave us Beazer’s mortgage lender recommendations. After contacting the lender and receiving a pre-qualification, we selected our lot and met with the design studio to personalize our home!

The personalization process was very interesting. We had no idea there were so many options! We selected everything from our flooring to the kitchen appliances to the fixtures– all the little details.

Friday night’s are reserved for sleepovers with the boys in the family room. We all get our sleeping bags, pick a family movie and enjoy. Once we’re completely unpacked and organized we plan to have people over once or twice a week!

Our favorite memory in our new home is the day we moved in. A lot of people from the neighborhood, and from Beazer helped us move in, and it was really welcoming. It was a great moment and milestone for us as a family.
