A man perished in another person is being treated for serious injuries following a crash involving a late-model Dodge ram 1500 pickup pulling a horse trailer and an 18 wheeler.

Reports indicate that the truck wreck happened about seven on Highway 190 outside of Jasper, Texas. The pickup truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the Big Rig driver was taken to the hospital by life flight helicopter.

Little is known about this fatal truck Accident at this time other than the 18 wheeler was eastbound at the time of the crash.

Texas DOT was in charge of cleanup as there was a diesel spill from the 18 wheeler that needed to be cleaned before the highway could be reopened.

Typically, in fatal accidents such as this, the Texas Department of Transportation conducts a very thorough accident reenactment to try to determine the cause or causes of the crash.
