If you've called JUST JUNK®, there may actually be a happy ending for your precious belongings that you've requested to be hauled from your home.

A recent CTV interview highlighted a popular segment on How it Works, where Jason and Mike, trusted employees of JUST JUNK®, demonstrated a typical day on the job in Sault St. Marie.  They arrived at their first job of the day, an apartment building to provide assistance in the removal of five furniture items, including  a dresser, a chesterfield, and a chair. With the aging population in Sault St. Marie, JUST JUNK®'s removal services  are very helpful with the removal of heavy items like fridges, freezers, and couches.  Everyday is a mystery for the employees at JUST JUNK®, never knowing what they'll have to remove but,  one thing for certain,  JUST JUNK® ensures that any items that can be refurbished or reused, won't end up at a landfill.

So, what does happen to these items after they're picked up?  JUST JUNK® gives the inside scoop on How It Works.

After the removal of the items from the apartment building in Sault St. Marie, Jason and Mike make a stop at the Habitat for Humanity Restore.  JUST JUNK® typically donates to the Restore every other day. The five items donated from the apartment building on this day is said to aid the Habitat for Humanity and community considerably.

Out of every job completed in a day, only about 10% of the cost of the job actually goes to the dump.  JUST JUNK® recycles as much as they possibly can and are finding more and more places like, the Habitat for Humanity, to recycle to.  The whole idea around JUST JUNK® is not only to provide a professional and courteous service to those who need it, but to utilize the tools and resources available to them and make a noticeable difference in the community and the environment.

Habitat for Humanity Canada is committed to helping low-income families caught in the vicious cycle of poverty, providing every Canadian family in need  with a safe, decent and affordable place to call home.  A representative of the Restore mentions that the profit made at these donation sites help to fund all of their operational costs and also towards funding the home builds. Did you know? For every dollar spent at the Restore, it diverts 1.3 pounds on junk from the landfill.  Since they've started in the business of Junk Removal, nearly $100,000 of junk has been donated to local charities from JUST JUNK®.
