Senior Server Administrator / Senior Tech Support Engineer – Coimbatore

Role: Senior Server Administrator / Senior Tech Support Engineer.

Location : Coimbatore

Keyskills: Senior Linux Server Administrator, Networking, Storage, Loadbalancing, Clustering, Failover, AWS, VMware, KVM, Xen Server, SolusVM, 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Reolving the production issues within Service level agreement period (SLA).
  • Hands on experience in setup, configuration, upgrade, maintenance, performance monitoring and troubleshooting of servers running on different OS platforms like Linux (Various Flavors especially Centos, Ubuntu and Redhat).
  • Knowledge in remote OS installation required
  • Trouble shoot server booting related issues in various scenarios like Kernel panic, harddisk related issue (due to LVM, RAID).
  • Trouble shoot server by booting it from Livecd / KVM etc
  • Strong in Networking, Storage, Loadbalancing, Clustering, Failover & HA – High Availability Concepts.
  • Good Level of Knowledge & Expertise expected in atleast 2 of the mentioned technologies (AWS, VMWare, KVM, Xen Server, SolusVM etc.,)
  • Expert in managing Mail Servers (Postfix, Exim, Sendmail) and Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Advance level of knowledge in Identifying and troubleshooting Harddisk error related issues, Data Migration, Backup and Restore etc.,
  • Good knowledge in Firewall concepts– CSF, APF
  • Expert in configuring, managing & troubleshooting web servers – Nginx, Apache, IIS, Tomcat
  • Control Panels Good understanding of Cpanel / Plesk / Directadmin etc.
  • Monitoring Tools – Nagios, OPSview, Nimsoft, Cloudwatch
  • Strong in Shell Scripting concepts
  • Knowledge in Raid ( Software and Hardware ).
  • Intermediate Level of Knowledge in Managing, Installing and Troubleshooting FFMpeg, Mencoder, Video Scripts (Phpmotion, Clipbucket, Clipshare, Vidi script and other adult scripts)
  • Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence. 
  • Demonstrates the use of consulting skills including: questioning, listening, ideas development, permission and rapport, and influencing.
  • Ability to work with a Sales and presales team to provide feedbacks to technical proposals and /or reports/documentation for delivery.
  • Handling for all post sales support and resolution of escalations of L2/L3 level calls.
  • Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learning’s are documented and shared. Solves diverse and complex technical problems.
  • Strong analytical skill is a must. Should also have ability to research, learn and adopt to new technologies. Logical analysis skills for troubleshooting tasks is a must.
  • Ability to manage and run a technical support team
  • Minimum Experience: 4 to 5 years (Experience in Web Hosting industry and Cpanel is mandatory)
  • Certifications such as RHCE, RHCVA, RHCSS, VCP, Citrix – CCA, cPanel Certifications etc., would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent Communication & Soft Skills required
  • Excellent written skills in English required 
  • Willing to work in rotational shifts.
