Hyundai celebrates 30 years in the U.S.

Three decades and more than 10 million vehicle sales later, Hyundai  - the world's fifth largest automaker - celebrates 30 years in the U.S.

From its new Genesis luxury brand, to the electric-based IONIQ - with 14 vehicles in the U.S. lineup, Hyundai has certainly made a name for itself, and it proudly represents both innovation and dependability.

Dave Zuchowski, president and chief executive officer, Hyundai Motor America, said, "Our vision for future mobility focuses on choice, with a variety of vehicle options - from our all-new luxury brand Genesis to our advanced alternative-fuel vehicles like the all-new IONIQ." Zuchowski added, "We are challenging automotive paradigms to reflect customers' varied lifestyles, without compromising on design, safety, technology or driving enjoyment."

Along with creating exciting new cars and SUVs, Hyundai is also a leader in marketing, being the official sponsor of the NFL, and a growing partnership with college football, FIFA and the PGA Tour.

Zuchowski said, "The U.S. is an incredibly important market for Hyundai and we will continue to invest in the American market and economy." Zuchowski added, "Our mission is to constantly improve and make things better for our owners, and today we will continue that promise by pushing the envelope with exceptional design, quality and value. Hyundai is well positioned for the coming growth and evolution of the Armerican car market."
