The 2014 Oregon Cattlemen's Association Meeting was the event's 100th anniversary and attended by a great group of people. The couple days were filled with work shops, conversation and laughs. A little business got settled also but I can say when you get a room full of cowboys together with music, casino night gambling, and some beverages, you're going to see some folks have a good time! As with all ag groups in our present day, commodities are strong and its been a good run for profits as of late. But all is not a silver lining and I believe the theme stated at the conference is nobody else will stand up and tell the story so the story of the benefits, and the great things the cattle ranchers are achieving have to be told by the cattle industry! The entire conference was very positive but the cattleman will have to take the lead in getting the truth about the industry out there.
