Amelia Earhart

This is a great poster or print to give to any hard-working woman on your team.  Earhart’s life was a case study in perseverance, and she literally flew into the pages of history, setting ten different flight records, including the fact that she was the first person to fly from Hawaii to the US mainland and the fact that she was the first woman to fly solo and nonstop across the continental US.

Maya Angelou

Born in 1928, Maya Angelou became one of the nation’s most beloved poets and educators, in Addition to being a tireless advocate for civil rights.  Her best-known work, “I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings,” was published in 1970 was banned in schools across the country when it was first published, but has gone on to be taught in colleges around the world.
