The largest part of Twitter customizing is the backgrounds for the pages. Soon you will be ready to venture out into the world of having your very own customized background. The follow steps can be taken to secure your very own customized Twitter background to express yourself on the hottest social media website.

First of all, if you are not signed up with Twitter yet, do so! The only way to customize your Twitter background is by having an account in the fist place. After you have your very own Twitter page, you are going to have to choose on what type of background you want. If you do not already have a picture to use, a quick Google search will open up a plethora of sites that offer free backgrounds for you. Once you have chose on a background, save it to your hard drive where you will easily find it again when the time comes to use it.

Next you will need to log into your Twitter home page. Once this is done you will see a link on the top of the page near the right hand side that reads “Settings”, this is where all of the settings are that will help turn your Twitter page from generic to a reflection of yourself.

After you load the settings page, you’ll see tabs with various options on them. The tab you want is the “design” tab. This is where the makeover on your Twitter page will start. Any time you want to revamp the look of your page you will need to use this tab to change your background and other theme settings within your profile.

The first thing you’re going to see when you load up the design tab are preloaded for you to use if you do not have the time to make a theme of your own. Choosing one of these generic themes will change the background on your page as well, but if you want to customize it further by using a picture that you like, just scroll down further and find the link that says “change background image.” Clicking on this will bring up a box with a browse button where you will then be able to load the picture you chose on using earlier.

The final option you will need to choose is if you want to tile the background. If you’re unfamiliar with what this is, it is exactly how it sounds: it repeats your picture throughout the entire page over and over again. If you’d rather just have a single image, make sure this box is not checked off.

Finally, save your changes and you should immediately see your groundbreaking new, customized Twitter background.
