Extreme Drought Continues in Southwest Florida

If you live in Cape Coral, Fort Myers or Naples, you’ve probably noticed that it’s been a while since we’ve had a really good rainfall.

WGCU Southwest Florida – Severe Drought Developing in Florida

On April 14th, the City of Cape Coral issued a Notice of Emergency – Stage I Water Shortage and announced that effective April 21st, a one-day watering schedule is mandatory for all residents and businesses in Cape Coral using City irrigation or private wells for watering lawn and landscape.

As outlined on Cape Coral’s Watering Schedule page, required watering in of lawn chemicals are still permitted at any time.
