Free Crochet Pattern – Waved Arm Warmers

Original content by https://alpacameadows.com/.

The Waved Arm Warmers FREE crochet pattern by Mon Petit Violon is a lovely pattern for our Astral yarn.  Simple, but elegant.  It is a one size fits most pattern that is adaptable to thicker yarns using a bigger crochet hook, if desired.  The Astral yarn is a DK weight yarn and suits this pattern wonderfully.

Astral yarn is a heavenly blend of 30% Alpaca, 20% Wool, and 50% Tencel with incredible luster. The Alpaca and Merino wool combination creates body and softness, while the Tencel produces a lovely drape as well as adding durability and strength.

The color I chose for these Arm Warmers is called Virgo.  A September birthday makes me a Virgo (not that I follow my horoscope), maybe that’s why I like it.  The warmers took about 130 yards, so one skein will do it.

I do a small amount of affiliate marketing, and there are several links in this post that lead to products that we don’t sell at Alpaca Meadows, but we do receive a small percentage of the sale should you purchase those items.  Every little bit helps pay the bills, so thank you in advance!

The pattern calls for a Crochet Hook size E-4 (3.5mm).  You’ll need a Yarn Needle for weaving in ends, and pair of Scissors, if you don’t already have those items.

Gauge:

5 dc and 2 rows = 1 inch

Stitches Used:

ch = chain

st(s) – stitches(es)

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

sl st – slip stitch

sp – space

st = stitch

Special Stitches:

Two dc together (dc2tog):

Begin to work dc in next st, but don’t complete it, leaving
2 loops on hook, work another incomplete dc in next st,
so that you have 3 loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull
through all 3 loops on the hook. Stitch completed.

Have lots of yarn leftovers?  These arm warmers would be super cute made striped, changing color every row, or every couple rows.

There is no thumb hole with this style which is designed to wear more on the arm, than hand, but a thumb hole would be easy to add.

Vita Apala is the designer behind the Mon Petit Violon brand and has many other lovely patterns on her website and in her Etsy shop.  Vita also shares some Free Stitch Patterns that she has collected along the way!
