This is what I just found in my Inbox. The company that sent this email sells certification training. I can tell you without any doubt whatsoever that companies are consistently asking for the CISSP, CISM and CISA certifications on the descriptions for a variety of Cyber Security Jobsand IT Risk Management Jobs.
The idea that anyone can earn a certification and instantly be worth $140,000 is absurd. Earn certifications that strategically support your Career Road map. If you don’t have a career road map and you don’t have a strategy for earning certifications, I can help you.
Please don’t believe what you see when you see emails or articles that tell you a particular certification is worth a certain amount of money. Any certification you earn should be icing on top of the subject matter expertise you already possess.
Any certification you earn that isn’t backed by hands-on experience will be worth far less than the suggested $140,000.
