Asian Tigers Thailand was a proud Major Sponsor of last month’s tremendously successful Raja’s Charity Golf Tournament held at the Bangpakong Riverside Course. Over 1.1 Million Baht (approximately USD31,000) was raised which will be donated to the AMCHAM Adopt-a-School project to construct a brand-new building that will hold 4 classrooms. This will mark the 20th school built in Ubon Ratchathani through these charity efforts. The proceeds will also cover University Scholarships for 3 stand-out students.

Despite the early start, there were smiles all around. Some of the highlights were the back and shoulder massages at hole 13,  the great sausages provided by the Bourbon Street restaurant, and of course, the Asian Tigers drink stand with the large-sized Cool Towels in ice was greatly appreciated and helped the players get some temporary relief from Thailand’s hot weather.

The caddies were very friendly and knowledgeable which helped everyone enjoy the game even more.

At the end of the game, various prizes were on offer, including a travel bag and 4 sports sets that each included a sports bag, golf umbrella and shoe bag – perfect for the next round of golf.

We can’t wait to see everyone again next year for this annual event which is one of the premier golf tournaments in Thailand.
