New Delhi: Tinsel Town is the place where all youngsters want to be. In their early 20s, many Movie enthusiasts and aspiring actors come to the city of dreams to become part of the movie industry. However, a couple of them get debut on screen. Out of that, some make an impact while others disappear without leaving any trace.
In the year 2019, we take a look at debutant faces of Bollywood, who made waves before their debut and also left their mark:
(1) Siddhant Chaturvedi
Siddhant Chaturvedi shot to fame with Ranveer Singh-starrer movie ‘Gully Boy’. His performance as MC Sher was appreciated and applauded making him an instant star.
He is set to share screen space with Deepika Padukone soon.
He says success in movies didn’t come overnight, it came after a lot of failures and challenges. He is bracing for the challenges and opportunities in 2020.
(2) Ananya Panday
Ananya Panday is the most talked about and sought after celebrity figures, who debuted in the Bollywood this year. Being the daughter of Chunky Panday, she got instant connect with the audience. Also, her style quotient and charm has been too tempting to ignore.
She has been garnering attention and making headlines since her debut in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2’ movie.
She was also seen in Kartik Aryan-starrer major hit `Pati Patni Aur Woh`.
(3) Karan Deol
Karan Deol , son of veteran actor Sunny Deol was another star kid to be launched on silver screen, this year. The actor was seen opposite another debutant Sahher Bambba in the film `Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas`. Though movie failed to garner good numbers, the actor’s son got much media attention and publicity owing to his family’s long connection with Bollywood.
(4) Saiee Manjrekar
Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan in Dabangg 3. She plays love interest to the younger Chulbul Pandey in the film, which hit theatres on December 20.
Saiee Manjrekar, daughter of actor-filmmaker Mahesh Majrekar impressed one and all with her performnce in the film.
(5) Vishal Jethwa
Vishal Jethwa played the role of psycho rapist in ‘Mardaani 2’ and managed to hold his own in front of Rani Mukherjee. His portrayal of psycho was much liked and lauded by audience.
Sharing his journey of portrayal of the brutal rapist in the film, he said that the preparation was a painful process for him emotionally.
“It was very, very hard for me but I knew I had to prove myself as an actor. The preparation for this film was a painful process for me emotionally. I used to go to my house and lock myself up in for hours and try and behave like Sunny, trying to find a body language, posture and demeanour. I was exhausted after this process because Sunny is a person no one should ever become”, he said.
