This is the week that Google implements a major update to its algorithm, one that could – in the words of Business Insider’s Jillian D’Onfro – crush millions of Small Businesses.

Basically Google will be assessing sites for mobile friendliness, and they themselves state that the impact will be significant. It is being hailed as an update that will be more significant than Penguin or Panda, and it is likely to catch many marketers with their pants down – whatever about small Businesses, there are a surprising amount of mainstream brands who don’t yet have responsive sites.
