65-year-old Paul G. Allen dies as Microsoft co-founder

At age 65, Paul Allen , one of the co-founders of Microsoft, dies , a fact that surprised many, including us, after a few days ago, through his Twitter account he announced that the forecast It was good.

In the tweet published on October 1, Allen points out that ” recently, I learned that the  non-Hodgkin lymphoma  with which I fought in 2009 has returned. I have started the treatment and my doctors are optimistic that I will see a good result. I appreciate the support I have received and I count on him as I fight against this challenge . ”

While not as famous as Bill Gates, Allen in the world of technology was and represented a lot for Microsoft. He is also known in the world of sports since he bought the team of the Seattle Seahawks of the American Football League and also an NBA basketball team, the Portland Blazers.

Much loved in Seattle, he was born there and has just died in that city that under his direction, the Seattle Seahawks gave him the first Superbowl.

In addition Paul Allen is known for his entrepreneurial spirit and his charitable works. He was currently the owner of Vulcan, a company that is the engine behind Paul Allen’s network of organizations and initiatives, which are generally committed to ” improving the planet through catalytic philanthropy, inspiring experiences and scientific and technological advances .”

The news of the death of Paul G. Allen was known through the Vulcan site and among other things they pointed out the following,

With deep sadness we announce the death of our founder, Paul G. Allen, co-founder of Microsoft and outstanding technologist, philanthropist, community builder, conservationist, musician and supporter of the arts. Mr. Allen died Monday afternoon, October 15, 2018, from complications of a non-Hodgkin lymphoma in Seattle. Mr. Allen was 65 years old.
