The proposal of Buterin on limiting the volume of Ethereum emission turned out to be a joke

The creator of the Ethereum Crypto Currency, Vitalik Buterin, admitted that his April 1  proposal to improve the EIP 960 protocol was  in fact a joke.

“Those of you who are interested in, is an EIP 960 joke or not, I answer: it’s an April Fool’s meta-joke. The idea was to see how people would argue about the reality of this proposal, “Buterin wrote in his Twitter.

At the same time, the developer noted that the goal he pursued when publishing this message is of secondary importance, as it resulted in a serious and reasoned discussion of one of the most important issues for the Ethereum ecosystem.

Moreover, Buterin expressed his readiness to translate the proposal, if the community deems the restriction of emissions necessary.

“If the community wants a limited issue and believes that the EIP 960 is suitable for this, then the proposal must be accepted. If the community deems this proposal unworthy, then it should not be realized. It will be so, despite the fact that the original task was a rally, “Buterin said, adding that he himself does not see any sense in setting limits.

According to Buterin, most of the community did not notice another April Fool’s joke, which was hidden in the  message  about the establishment of the official stable crypto currency on the basis of Ethereum.

“20% of the message is plagiarism with  tron.network/en.html, ” he wrote.

Previously, the creators of the TRON crypto currency were repeatedly accused of plagiarizing and borrowing the contents of white paper from other popular projects.
