One of the pioneers of Blockchain technologies, Charles Hoskinson plans to develop this technology in the homeland of coffee. Hoskinson was co-founder of Ethereum, and now is one of the adherents of Cardano Blockchain and signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Science and Technology of Ethiopia for the development of agricultural technology in the country.

According to the cooperation agreement, participants will study the ways that Blockchain can be used to track coffee supplies or for the land registry. Partnership has a long-term perspective. Hoskinson plans not only to share his ideas, but also to teach developers how to use Cardano Blockchain technology.

It’s only begining
Cardano looks much broader in the developing market than within one Ethiopia, but this country is the place where everything begins. John O’Connor, the director of the African operations of IOHK who joined the company, explained in detail in the blog that it was education that would be of paramount importance for the African mission, saying:
“This year we will begin our first African course, most likely starting with Ethiopia. We expect that the first group of Ethiopian developers will contribute to the Cardano code by the end of the year. “
