The Prince Edward Island PNP has issued a total of 147 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates belonging to Express Entry and Labor Impact Category. And, another 29 Invitations to apply to candidates belonging to the Business Impact Category. Although there wasn’t a clear picture provided on candidates invitations for each category, 29 ITAs were provided to candidates belonging to the “Work Permit Stream” of the Business Impact category.

The candidates who have received an ITA under the Work Permit Stream of Business Impact category are needed to have a minimum 130 score under the grid of Business Impact Category. Also, there isn’t any minimum score issued for candidates who received Invitation to apply under the Labor Impact Category and Express Entry, also, the combined total of these two streams reached to 1,175 ITAs for the year – 2018.

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program belongs to one of the Express Entry’s categories. Also, it is associated with the Express Entry System. It is an electronic process based on point system. In order to be eligible, the interested candidates need to obtain minimum of 67 points under the Express Entry Points Grid for Canada Immigration. The Grid is based on the candidates Core Human Factors such as age, educational qualifications, work experience, language proficiency, adaptability and more. The system’s economic immigration program are the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSW), the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FST) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

The candidates who have received a nomination from the PEI Express Entry are provided with a Nomination Certificate and extra 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score. With this, the candidates effectively make their profile move for an ITA in further Express Entry draws.

The PNP of PEI employs for an EOI (Expression of Interest) system, as the system needs candidates who are interested in submitting an EOI with complete details of their language skills, education, work experience and more many more.

However, the Expression of Interests is checked on performed based on the six eligibility factors, namely age, education, language proficiency, work experience, employment, adaptability & more. During the monthly draw, the selected candidates with the highest eligibility scores are provided with Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PNP.

Hence, the same is followed by the PEI Labor Impact category and works on this EOI system. Also, the system is further divided into streams; Critical Worker, International Graduate and Skilled Worker. candidates who wish to move with these streams need to work currently for an employer of PEI or should have an employment offer from their employer belonging to the same province.
