Two died and two injured in a suspicious Fire in Mississauga early Tuesday morning. The fire broke out in a two floor townhouse on Bromsgrove Road, near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Royal Windsor Drive, at around 3 a.m. 

“We arrived on scene. Our firefighters reported heavy flames, heavy smoke, high heat conditions in the home,” Mississauga Fire Chief Deryn Rizzi said at the scene on Tuesday. Earlier, the Mississauga fire reported the death of one person in hospital while at around 9:30 a.m., police confirmed a second person had died. 

The Peel Regional Police has not yet confirmed the age and gender of the victims who died at the time. The other two victims escaped the fire and were sent to the hospital. One of the injured victims has suffered severe burn injuries. 

“On behalf of Mississauga Fire it is with profound sadness to advise we have responded to a fatal house fire this morning,” Mississauga Fire Chief Deryn Rizzi said in a post on X. Police have further confirmed that they are investigating the fire. Bromsgrove Road remained closed from Cramer Street to Winston Churchill Boulevard, police said. The drivers are advised to take alternate routes.
