According to the police, a Brampton neighborhood has been gripped with concern as a youth was reported to have suffered a possible gunshot wound, leading to hold-and-secure orders being issued for a total of nine schools. The incident unfolded when officers responded to a weapons dangerous call in the vicinity of Central Park Drive and Grenoble Boulevard around 11:25 a.m. Unfortunately, the suspect or suspects involved in the case remain at large, prompting authorities to take precautionary measures.

Among the schools currently under hold-and-secure orders are Grenoble Public Elementary School (PES), Greenbriar PES, Goldcrest PES, Holy Name of Mary Catholic Secondary School (CSS), St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Jean Brebeuf Catholic Elementary School (CES), Judith Nyman Public Secondary School (PSS), Chinguacousy PSS, and Williams Parkway PES.
