Brampton Man Attacked in his Own House; Questions Police about the Charges Laid on Intruder

On Christmas eve, a Brampton home was invaded which further led to an altercation between the owner and the intruder. The incident took place at a home near Chinguacousy and Drinkwater.

Owner of the house, Gurdeep Singh, who is a security supervisor at Mississauga Passport Office, spoke with Parvasi to give exclusive details about the incident and how he feels the culprit has been charged less than he should have been.

“I was returning home from work when I parked my car ion the driveway and went inside,” Gurdeep Said. He further stated how the intruder entered the house while he was petting his pet at the main door. “As soon as I looked back, he was already inside and when I asked him what he was doing here, he instead questioned me about who am I to stop him,” Gurdeep said.

Following which, the two had an argument which further led to an altercation when the invader punched Gurdeep in his face.

Gurdeep described the invader as a tall Punjabi guy wearing gold earrings. Gurdeep was able to push him out of the house and call the police on time. “The police cam in mere 5 minutes and arrested him while he ran away and hid in the backyard of a neighbourhood house,” Gurdeep quoted.

The intruder has been charged with one count of assault; however, Gurdeep is questioning the police about other charges including attempt to Burglary and Trespassing.

Incidents as such are on a rise in the City of Brampton and causing a threat to the residents of neighbourhood. Amidst the existing chaos, it is significant to question the police about the charges laid on the suspects and ensure strictness of law and order in the city.
