After over a week since the CU MMS scandal broke out, new advancements show that the four suspects have been sent to a five-day remand by the Kharar Court.

It is said that Army Personnel Sanjeev Singh was responsible for calling and texting the girl repetitively asking her to make obscene videos of her hostel mates.

The suspects not only include the girl herself as well as two youths from Himachal Pradesh, but also the recently nabbed Sanjeev Singh, an army man who was detained at Sela Pass in Arunachal Pradesh. The fourth suspect supposedly admitted to the police authorities that he had downloaded Rankaj Verma’s pictures from a social media site and used them to chat with the main accused girl, who he had met and befriended on social media.

Sanjeev Singh, the fourth suspect, reportedly told the police authorities that he had downloaded Rankaj Verma’s pictures from a social media site

Amongst all of this, the legal counsel of Rankaj Verma sought bail for him stating that he was not involved with the three other suspects in the said case. It is important to note that the other three suspects have said in court that they do not know him.

It is important to note that the other three suspects had stated in court that they do not know Rankaj Verma.

This bail plea comes not long after Rankaj Verma’s brother Pankaj Verma went on record to state that Rankaj was unaware of any of the other suspects in this case.
