Interpol swung into action immediately it received an inquest from its Indian coordinator Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to issue Red Corner Notice (RCN) for Canada-Baer Goldy Brar in the Sidhu Moose Wala assassination case.

As a sequel to this RCN now the police organizations world over will be on lookout for Goldy Brar wanted in high profile Sidhu Moose Wala case.

It is pertinent to mention that Goldy Brar belonging to Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility for the broad day light assassination of noted Punjabi singer-turned politician Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29.

Sidhu Moose Wala was ambushed a few km from his native village Moosewala by assailants who came in two different vehicles from different directions and fired a volley of shots from three directions to kill him on the spot.
Punjab police has already taken in custody 10 suspects in the case. Baes on investigations the State police had requested the CBI to approach Interpol to issue RCN for Goldy Brar who had moved to Canada some years ago on a student visa.
Once under RCN, Goldy Brar would have his movements restricted as the police would be looking for him everywhere.

The singer-turned politician was killed on May 29, 2022, a day after the Punjab government had pulled security cover for over four hundred individuals, including Moosewala’s, in a bid to clamp down on VIP culture.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang was stated to be behind the murder. Canada-based Goldy Brar, who is a member of the Bishnoi gang, had claimed the responsibility for the homicide via a Facebook post. This murder was allegedly in retaliation for youth Akali chief Vicky Middukhera’s homicide that took place last year.

Thousands of fans, artists and even politicians attended Sidhu Moose Wala’s ‘Bhog’ ceremony at his native village in Mansa, Punjab on Wednesday. From carrying t-shirts with pictures of Sidhu Moosewala printed on them with the message ‘legends never die’ to numerous kids dressing like him, massive crowds from many locations in Punjab, Haryana and different states on Wednesday assembled at a grain marketplace in Mansa to attend the ‘Bhog’ rite or ‘Antim Ardas’ (post-cremation service) of the slain singer.
