The truckers convoy protest has entered day 20 of protest and emergency has been announced in the province by the Prime Minister.

On Tuesday, Ottawa’s police chief Peter Sloly resigned from his position following the criticism that he received for more than 2 weeks during the demonstration. The authorities are now freezing the funding of the truckers that they have been receiving and the RCMP will be creating a ‘no zone’ exclusion zones. The public health minister has also said that anybody who will be refusing to leave the sites will be arrested in a bid to restore the order.

The police have arrested 11 people with weapons at the protest. 4 men have also been taken into custody regarding a plot on killing policemen. These individuals have been arrested by the RCMP after the 2 weeks of protest.

Protestors will now also be charged $5,000 if they bring children to the protests.
