The Clearwater Police Department reported a Collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle occurred on Thursday, February 18th, at Dimmitt Drive and the service lanes of U.S. 19. The crash was reported just before 11 AM. Helicopter Ambulance Air Life 3 responded and flew the injured bicyclist to a hospital.
Photos posted on IONTB showed a Bicycle pinned underneath what appeared to be a water delivery truck. Further details were not available, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
What Caused this Bicycle Accident?
Based on the limited information provided, it appears this collision happened at an intersection. It is not clear what direction the cyclist and vehicles were traveling and if factors such as speeding, distracted driving, or impairment were factors.
