Organic Vs Paid Traffic – Which One Is Better For Your Website?

When it comes to increasing Traffic on your website, the question arises whether you would want the traffic as a result of organic search (SEO) or through paid search (PPC). The truth is that there really is no right answer when it comes to increasing website traffic and various factors such as user’s behavior, your budget and the marketing goals of your organization.

A lot of times, it’s not a question of using either/or rather about striking the right balance. But what exactly is the difference between SEO and PPC and what factors should you consider before deciding between the two options.

When traffic comes to your website for free, that is a result of SEO but if you are paying for ads so that users can click on the ad and visit your link then that traffic is generated from Pay Per Click (PPC). With PPC, ads are displayed above organic search results or on the side bars of the search engine pages for queries related to the searched topic while organic results (SEO) appearing under paid ads (PPC).

So which strategy should you go for? Listed below are some factors which you need to consider before deciding on going with SEO or PPC.

  1. Budget: one of the main factors that you need to consider is your total budget for search marketing. If you have no budget which you could commit to paid ads, then you will have to work on your SEO strategy to ensure that your website is optimized for the search engines. But if you are able to spare some of your budget then we recommend investing it in PPC ads which will allow for immediate results.
  2. Industry CPC: If you want to go with PPC and SEO both, then you need to take into consideration how much your industry is spending on ads and the price they are placing on bids for specific keywords.
  3. Short Vs Long Term: If immediate results are what you are looking for then placing an ad through PPC would be your best bet because if you have short term goals like an immediate increase in traffic, then a PPChttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pay-per-click ad would be the best way to about it. However, if you are looking for building credibility and have longer-term goals, then using SEO strategies would be the way to go because SEO relies on a website’s content, meta deta and linking structure.
