Like many of you, we can’t believe that it’s that time of year again. It’s the time when we want to give our Holiday Wishes for friends. As you know, this is a season to reflect on the gifts we have, how much we accomplished, and on those who need our energy, support, and goodwill. The holidays are an essential time. In short, it’s a moment to reflect and pause. And after what’s been a very challenging time for our nation and the world, we look forward instead of behind us.

Our Reasons to be Grateful

Since the day Funds2Orgs started, we’ve gotten to know so many of you for nearly a decade. Our fearless leader, Wayne, started the social enterprise with a group of dreamers at the kitchen table. In short, they thought they could do nothing less than change the world. And slowly, one brand expanded, grew to become the market leader in shoe drive fundraising, and then expanded with other brands.

So, our team is grateful for the impact we made with our social enterprises. For instance, we partnered with thousands of organizations and groups to successfully close nearly 20,000 shoe drive fundraisers. As a result, we issued more than $11 million in fundraising checks. Further, to help the planet, those fundraisers rescued over 32 million pairs of shoes. Those shoes then went to micro-entrepreneurs who sold them in their communities in developing nations. In short, we helped with jobs for people worldwide and right here at home for Americans.

Our Gift of Holiday Wishes for Friends and Partners

Again, we know that the last two years have been tough for many people. And for those who are our friends and partners, such as nonprofits, schools, civic groups, and for-profit brands, many still are working through the effects of the challenges during 2020 and 2021. So, as we consider our holiday Wishes, we want to continue to share our resources free. Meaning, we understand that many leaders and groups struggle to do it all. As a result, it’s tough to stay on top of trends and tech in fundraising or marketing.

So, we want to share some of our top resources right here so you can use them and learn. Hopefully, during the holidays, you have some downtime, and you have a chance to catch up. We hope that by sharing these insights, tips, and ideas with you, you’ll have the information you need for success as you prepare for a new year.

Remember During the Holidays to Keep Those In Need in Mind

It’s undoubtedly one of the holiday wishes for friends, partners, and families across our country and the world that they’ll have moments of peace and joy with those they love. However, we also want to keep in mind people who aren’t as fortunate as many. Therefore, we want to highlight a few organizations where you could contribute to supporting a good cause. Of course, there are hundreds of thousands of nonprofits across the U.S., which deserve your support. We can’t include all of them. But to look up other groups not listed, we encourage you to take a look at Candid or Charity Navigator.

• National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (Remember that many feel more despondent during the holidays).
• Wounded Warrior Project (We always have to support our nation’s military homes).
• National Resources Defense Council (We only have this planet, and we have to save our home!).
• Oxfam International (Always seeking to lead the way to help those in poverty).
• GoFundMe Causes (A way to find any cause you want to support).

This is our final post of the year. Again, we wish our partners, friends, family, and communities a peaceful and joyful holiday season. Our hope that for 2022 is that more people will seek to be the change they want to see in our communities.
