Nara Smith: Concious Bias Against Women of Color AKA Mean Girl Energy

Envy is a feeling of discontent or resentment aroused

by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck.

It is a desire to possess or have

something that someone else has.

One thing that many Black Women who have anything at all have in common, is haters who do not look like you simply because they believe that you should not have it.

I can recall this exact experience on many occasions over the years all the way up to the present day.  It is something Black women must deal with from all angles. Seeing the younger women go through the pain and disappointment of it is sad.

Here is @sliikim from TikTok explaining it so very well because "mean girl" doesn't even begin to cover it. Every time I deal with this or hear someone explain it, Maya Angelou's "Still I Rise" comes to mind.

Knowing that Black women and Black girls would endure this until the end of days, I believe that "Still I Rise" was her love letter of encouragement to us.

The hate being launched against this woman all over social media is insane and maniacal.

And yet, no one has a clue what Black women and Black children mean when we talk about the onslaught of online hate. Complete mystery and fabrication. Strange.  Odd.

Or just B.S.

Online racism is linked to PTSD symptoms in Black youth, study finds
