A Dream of Chaos

Tags: dream

Back around November of 2014, I had a very vivid Dream, so frightening that it awakened me. I refused to go back to sleep because I knew that it was a possibility that the same dream would continue, like a movie that was put on pause. Having continuing dreams happens to me a lot.

In the dream, I was riding in a car down Veterans Memorial Hwy in Mableton. The car was right in front of Hawthorne Plaza. All of a sudden it came to a stop. Riding in the back seat, I got out and looked in front of the car. There was a person [I think it was a man] lying across the road, in our lane. Several people were standing around the front of the car; it was apparent that the person was dead. As I looked up, I noticed that thousands of people were lined up on both sides of the street, as far as I could see, in both directions. I also noticed that the traffic was heavy - but no vehicle was moving - the engines were off and they were just parked in the road.

I know the weather was warm and it was day time, perhaps afternoon. A few people were talking but I couldn't make any sense of what was being said. All I could focus on was the dead person in the road and all of the people...

It was right here that I woke up. I've wondered if this dream was the result of things that were going on at the time. The protest marches, Ferguson, MO., etc. It is very possible. It is also possible that it is a premonition. But this is one of those dreams that will have to sit on the back burner for a while.
